I saw this wonderful picture of Lauri Ylonen (I hope I spelt that right?!
) of The Rasmus in Kerrang! and felt I had to try to draw it. I thought the way his hands were was fantastic (I have a thing for drawing hands!) Anyway it was just one of those drawings that seemed to work straight off, I was going to do it as a black and white pencil drawing like a lot of my others but then changed my mind and started to paint it. What can I say... the painting worked as well and I'm really happy with it. So far anyway, I still have to finish the hair, which I'm struggling with a bit, but I'll get it done sometime.
Oh btw, I called it "Guilty" cos it's my favourite Rasmus song and I also thought his expression could be perceived as a guilty one, though it's not really I'm sure

But it's really amazing how you caught his facial expression, and you did a great job on the hands.

Yeah I have to say he is pretty nice, certainly very easy on the eyes!
I'm glad how the face turned out, I've actually emphasized the eyes a bit more, they were more in shadow in the picture, but I think it works nicer like that. Thanks a lot.
